If your dog is prone to fleas, the following shampoo may help:
12 ounces water
1 tablespoon castile soap
2 drops peppermint essential oil
2 drops eucalyptus essential oil
2 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops rosemary essential oil
Combine ingredients in a jar. Shake well. Dampen your dog. Add enough shampoo to work up a lather and work it well into the dog's coat. Rinse off well.
