How to Use Thieves Oil

Thieves® essential oil blend from Young Living is a proprietary blend that contains clove, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus, and rosemary. These essential oils create an unfriendly environment for bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. One study* and found Thieves killed over 99% of bacteria it came into contact with and was highly effective in supporting the immune system.**

Caution: Thieves is a hot oil that may cause a burning sensation on the skin. Dilute with enough carrier oil to avoid burning - how much dilution is required depends on your skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Keep out of reach of children.

Here are some ways you can use Thieves essential oil:

• Diffuse to kill airborne bacteria or prevent mold. Diffusing this essential oil may also be useful for allergy symptoms, lung congestion, and sinus headaches.
• Dilute with vegetable oil and apply to cuts or open wounds to prevent infection and promote healing (for humans or dogs). Also, apply to bee and wasp stings to neutralize the toxin and relieve the pain.
• Use for cleaning:
  
  • Add to your dishwasher for cleaner dishes.
  • Add to your laundry cycle for cleaner clothes.
  • Add to your mop water for cleaner floors.
  • Put a few drops in your carpet steamer/cleaner to disinfect carpet..
  • Mix with baking soda to clean bathtubs.
• Use to dissolve the gummy adhesive on price labels. Drop Thieves oil blend on a cloth to remove permanent marker stains.
• Mix a drop or two with a tablespoon of water and gargle for a sore throat.
• For acne, apply to the skin diluted with carier oil.
• Mix with water to make a spray to repel insects on your flowers and plants.
• Apply diluted oil to gums to prevent and help heal gum disease, or apply to gums and teeth for pain relief from toothaches. Use on cold sores and canker sores to make them disappear.
• Apply to the toes and feet to fight fungus.
• Use to sanitize pierced earrings, toothbrushes, or almost anything else.
