Aromatherapy to Improve Memory

If you feel forgetful, and want to try aromatherapy to improve memory, sniffing or diffusing spicy essential oils such as cinnamon, cardamom, rosemary, peppermint, or basil may be helpful.

For a memory-improving blend, Aromatherapy for Dummies recommends

10 drops lemon
5 drop rosemary
3 drops sage
1 drop cinnamon

Another memory blend from the Essential Oils Desk Reference:

5 drops basil
10 drops rosemary
2 drops peppermint
4 drops helichrysum

To use these blends for massage, dilute with carrier oil.

Also, Young Living Essential Oils offers a blend called Brain Power, designed to give your brain a boost with essential oils that are high in sesquiterpenes. Brain Power contains sandalwood, cedarwood, melissa, frankincense, blue cypress, lavender, and helichrysum.
