Aromatherapy for PMS

If you want to try aromatherapy for PMS, single essential oils that might be useful are clary sage, sage, anise, fennel, ylang ylang, neroli, and bergamot.

For a PMS massage, Aromatherapy for Dummies recommends

10 drops geranium oil
6 drops chamomile oil
3 drops clary sage oil
3 drops angelica oil
2 drops marjoram oil
2 ounces carrier oil

Blend the oils and use for either self-massage or massage from a friend or professional.

For a relaxing PMS relief bath, Pure Scents for Well Being recommends blending the following essential oils with one teaspoon of oil or milk and adding the blend to your bath:

5 drops bergamot
3 drops geranium
1 drop rose

If PMS has you feeling depressed or apathetic, try this bath blend: 5 drops bergamot, 1 drop chamomile, 1 drop rose in one teaspoon oil or milk.
